Obituary of Cleodis Lee Miller

Cleodis Lee Miller 48, of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Lee was born in Lynn, on August 27, 1970 son of John E. Miller of Lynn and Christine N. (George) Miller of Salem, MA. Raised in Peabody, he excelled as a football player and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1988. He pursued his education at Golden West College in California, then attended the University of Texas at El Paso on a full football scholarship, and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Salem State University. Lee worked as a mortgage broker at Miller Mortgage. His lifelong passion was coaching and teaching football to Peabody’s youth. Lee loved his sweets, the outdoors, rap music, cinematography, his office mate/cousin Tressa, General Tso’s chicken, creating football and soccer highlight films for PVMHS players and his niece Tariah. But most of all he loved people. He was able to light up a room with his infectious smile and laugh that will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, Lee is survived by his 5 siblings and their spouses, George Miller of St. Louis MO, Charles and Dionne Miller of Huntsville AL, Chris and Dawn Miller of Peabody, Tammi Miller of Atlanta GA, and Grant and Mica Miller of Quincy, nieces Tariah, Isabella and Alessandra and nephew Isaiah Miller; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Lee’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 7th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral home at 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A family Celebration of Life service will begin at 7 p.m. during the visitation period. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Lee’s memory to the Peabody Youth Football, C/O P.O. Box 353, Peabody, MA 01960.
