Obituary of Arlindo Constantino, Sr

Arlindo Constantino, Sr, 87, of Peabody, died Friday evening at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Maria Z (Oliveira) Constantino with whom he shared over 59 years of marriage. Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Olivia (Machado) Constantino. He was raised and educated in Portugal, later lived in Canada and has spent the last 55 years living in Peabody. Arlindo was employed for many years, first as a lumber jack while living in Canada and upon moving to Peabody he was employed in the leather industry and finally before retiring he was machinist with Wal Bar in Peabody. Arlindo enjoyed life and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and sharing in all of their activities and endeavors. He will be dearly missed. Besides his loving wife of 59 years, he is survived by his son Arlindo Constantino, Jr, and his daughter, Theresa Bandeira, both of Peabody, his brother, Reinaldo Constantino of Rochester, NH and by his beloved four grandchildren, Kristian, Taleah, Andrew, and Ava. He was predeceased by his siblings, Anibal Constantino of Peabody and Margarida Silva.
