Obituary of Charles N Spiliotis

Charles N. Spiliotis, 84, of Peabody, died early Friday morning at his home following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Dafnas) Spiliotis and stepson of the late Vasiliki Bessie Spiliotis. He was a lifelong resident of the city and attended Peabody Public Schools. Prior to his retirement many years ago, he worked as a Tanner for over 45 years for Strauss Tannery in Peabody. He also was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody. Mr. Spiliotis was a very religious and devoted family man to his several nieces and nephews. He is survived by two sisters, Anastasia Spires of New Market, NH and Elizabeth Kozikowski of Lynn, also survived by two nephews, William and his wife Cheryl Pike of Georgia, and Mark and his wife Cindy Pike of New Hampshire; two nieces, Beth Pike of New Hampshire and Theodora Teddie Pike of Peabody; 2 grand nephews, Kyle and Matthew Pike of Georgia and Charles Chuckie Pike of Peabody and a grand niece, Cassandra Pike of Peabody, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Theodore, Peter, James, Phillip and Anna Spiliotis and the uncle of the late Charles Pike. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chesntut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM in St. Vasilios Church Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Monday from 4 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. Donations can be made in his name to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
