Obituary of Mahendra V. Patel

Mahendra V. Patel, 84, of Salem MA died peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Sawtell Hospice House, Reading with his family at his side. He was the husband of the late Indira (Patel) Patel. He was born in Gujarat, India on November 2, 1934, the son of the late Vithalbhai and Chanchalben (Patel) Patel and was raised there and graduated from MS University. He had been an aircraft engineer with the Jet Engine division of General Electric Co.. in Lynn for 25 years prior to his retirement. He had emigrated to the United States in 1969 and enjoyed spending time with his immediate and extended family. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Milan and Ekta Patel of Georgetown, and two grandchildren, Nikhil and Kishan Patel, his nephews and nieces, Mukesh, Dipam, Piyush, Sangita, Rita, Rajal and Daxay Patel and many great nieces and nephews residing within the US. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:15 until 1:00 PM followed by Cremation at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park West Peabody.
