Obituary of Robert Michele Cataldo

Born in Revere, MA, a long-time resident of Peabody and later Danvers, Robert Michele Cataldo passed away peacefully at his winter residence in Florida at the age of 86. The son of the late George and Clara (Terminello) Cataldo,” Bob” was married 45 years to the late Marion (White) Cataldo and together they raised Judie Pasdon of Danvers, Lisa Powers of Peabody and Robert M. Cataldo Jr. of Arizona. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Hermanns) Donovan Cataldo of Danvers. As a graduate of Revere High School in the class of 1951, Bob soon joined the working world of Insurance. He worked for Kemper Insurance but mostly for American Universal in the Boston, Providence and Montreal offices. Later her had his own agency for many years before his retirement. He avocation was that of a semiprofessional drummer. He was a member of the Leo Council # 508 of the Knights of Columbus in Peabody. Besides his wife and children, Robert leaves his sons-in-law, Peabody Fire Chief Steven Pasdon, Salem Hospital Physical Therapist John Powers and favorite daughter-in-law, Kayleen (Scott) Cataldo, his grandchildren, Ian and Hannah Tasso, his step-children, Susan Sedensky, Pamela Gibson, Maureen O’Connor, Michael and Joseph Donovan, his twelve step-grandchildren, a dear cousin, Verna Cefallu of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George Cataldo Jr. of So. Weymouth. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2018 from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St. Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers at 11:00 AM.
