Obituary of Domingos C. Quadros

Domingos C. Quadros, 73, of Peabody died Friday Afternoon at his home after a year long illness. He was the husband of Maria (Lourdes) Quardros with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. He was born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal on April 21, 1930, the son of the late Faustino and Silvana E. (Gloria) Quadros , he had resided there before moving to Peabody in 1957. He was first employed in the Leather industry for 19 years with The Bettencourt Tanning Co. and later the National Tanning Co. of Peabody. He then Worked for 15 years at the Bicknell & Fuller Corrigated Paper Co. of Peabody prior to His retirement 8 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Help Society and the Port. American War Vets Post # 1 of Peabody. He enjoyed playing cards and being with his family. Surviving him besides his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Caren Quadros of Peabody, a brother and sister-in-law, Jose and Maria Ivone Quadros of Peabody; 2 grandchildren, Erik and Denise Quadros both of Peabody and many Nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel, John, Faustino and Francisco Quadros. His Funeral will be held on Monday at 8:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
