Obituary of Dorothy "Esther" Daly

Dorothy “Esther” (Mihelis) Daly, 90, of Danvers, died Thursday morning at Care One at Essex Park in Beverly following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert A. Daly. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Angelica (Theodorocapolis) Mihelis. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1946 and then attended Fisher College for 1 year. Dorothy was employed as a diffuser in the diffusion lab at Varian Photolithography Lab for many years before she retired. She was a great cook who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and enjoyed doing ceramics as well. Dorothy is survived by her many nieces and nephews from the Mihelis, Stavropoulos, and Karra families. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Ernest Miles, George and Charles Mihelis, Bessie Stavropoulos, and Julia Karra. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by her Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at the funeral home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St, Danvers.
