Obituary of Jo-Ann Marie (McGrath) Kallelis

Jo-Ann Marie (McGrath) Kallelis, 69, of Peabody, died on Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of James T. Kallelis, Jr with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William and Claire (Belliveau) McGrath. She was raised and educated in Lynn and has spent the last 50 years living in Peabody. Jo-Ann was a CNA for over 25 years and spent the last 17 years working at Union Hospital before her illness. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Richard Kallelis and his wife Toniann of FL, Norman Kallelis and his wife Kimberly of Gloucester, Robert Kallelis and his wife Michele of Peabody, Lisa Turcotte and her husband Chris of NH, and James T Kallelis III of ME, and is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her beloved sister, Patricia McGrath of Salisbury, her beloved aunt Jeanne Campus of Myrtle Beach, SC and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her grandson Codey Turcotte. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend, Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA 01923.
