Obituary of Nicholas Senio
Senio, of Peabody, January 14, 2019, Nicholas Senio, formerly of Bedford, MA, loving husband of Marie Butera (Yasi) Senio of Peabody and the late Genevieve H. (Mart) Senio, devoted father and father-in-law of Lawrence and Teresa Senio of Hampton, NH, Lisa and Paul Ambers of Weston, VT., Amy and Clifford Worthley of Lunenburg, MA, Alfred and Denise Yasi of Wakefield, MA and Donald Yasi of Jamaica Plain, cherished grandfather of Victor Ambers, John Paul and Doris Senio, Curtis Ambers, Elizabeth Handscom, Jennifer and Brian Schonfeld and Kristin Yasi and great grandfather of Sawyer and nieces and nephews. Nicholas lived a long and fulfilling life after surviving polio at the age of 5. His grandmother Kiehart saved him by providing hot baths and massages which left him with a limp. His determination never let that challenge hinder him. He met his late wife Genevieve Helen Mart at age 22 while serving as a US Army Master Sergeant in Germany. Upon his return, he graduated from Columbia University and pursued a successful career as an Electronic Engineer working for the Sanders and later the Mitre Corporation retiring in 1994. Thankfully, Nick met Marie Yasi, his wife of 23 years. They enjoyed traveling, spending time together and always made sure there was time for their favorite exercise, swimming, which he continued to do until very recently.
