Obituary of Wilfredo "Freddie" Marquez
Wilfredo “Freddie” Marques, 56, of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died unexpectedly on Thursday December 20, 2018 at his home. He was the long-time Companion of Deborah Connors with whom he shared over 30 years together. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Pablo and Mercedes (Candelaria) Marquez. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico, later lived in Salem and has spent the last 30 years living in Peabody. Freddie was employed as a maintenance man for many years the last of which was Lahey Clinic and Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. Freddie loved playing baseball and was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in his garden, tending to his Spider Plants. Freddie is survived by his 11 siblings and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
