Obituary of Martha M Quintana
Martha M (Whitcomb) Quintana, 61, of Danvers and formerly of Beverly and Peabody, died Saturday morning after battling with a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of Edward J Quintana with whom she shared over 37 years of marriage with. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Phyllis P. (Blodgett) Whitcomb of Beverly and the late William S Whitcomb, Sr. She was raised in North Andover, later lived in Peabody for 30 years, then in Beverly for 10 years and has spent the last 15 years living in Danvers. Before her illness, Martha worked for Appleseed’s in Beverly as a customer Service Representative before her retirement. Martha enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and riding her Harley Davidson, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her grandchildren and sharing in all of their activities. Besides her husband Edward, she is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis Nicolini and Lora Lea and her husband Ron Houser, all of Danvers, her brother, Michael Whitcomb of Peabody, her sisters, Marilyn O’Brien and Margie Whitcomb, both of Beverly and Carol Barton of NH and by her beloved two granddaughters, Alexis Nicolini and Victoria Houser. She was predeceased by her brother William S. Whitcomb, Jr and sister, Donna Brown. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. At the request, there are no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association, 200 Cochituate Rd #201, Framingham, MA 01701.
