Obituary of Alberto Carva

Alberto Carva, 90, of Peabody, died Saturday morning at the Pilgrim Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Maria E Jorge Carva (Lila) Born and raised in Portugal, he was the son of the late Abel and Belmira (Rosa) Carva. He has lived in Peabody for over 20 years. Before his retirement, Alberto owned a paving business for many years - C & M Paving. He was an avid outdoorsman … his passion was hunting. Besides his loving wife Maria Emilia (Lila), he is survived by his sister, Laura of Portugal, his grandson Charles Carva and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two sons, Carlos and Antonio Carva, his brothers, Manuel Carva and Jose Oliveira, and most recently his sister, Argentina Moura. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
