Obituary of Patricia A. (McCormack) Hayward
Patricia A. (McCormack) Hayward, 78 PEABODY – Patricia A. (McCormack) Hayward, 78, beloved wife of Paul R. Hayward, died peacefully at her home following an extended illness, while in the comforting presence of her loving family. Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Dorothy (Meuse) McCormack. She grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Patricia was happiest when at home surrounded by her family. She was devoted to being a good wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She is survived by her husband Paul Hayward of Peabody, with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage; two sons and two daughters, Paul Hayward of Topsfield, Michael Hayward and his wife Karen of Peabody, Lori Bernidakis and her husband John of Haverhill, and Karen MacKenzie and her husband Robert of Peabody; five grandchildren, Colin MacKenzie, Cameron MacKenzie, and Cali MacKenzie and step-grandchildren Jason Bernidakis and Nicholas Bernidakis; a brother Michael McCormack of Athol and sister Beverly McCormack of Melrose, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:30 P.M. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow the Service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
