Obituary of Irene A. (Wallace) Kenny

Irene A. (Wallace) Kenny, 87 PEABODY – Irene A. (Wallace) Kenny, 87, beloved wife of the late Frank Kenny, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday January 21, 2019. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Lois Kenny. She grew up in Medford and graduated from Girls Catholic High School. Mrs. Kenny worked a few years as a Secretary at John Hancock Life Insurance Company of Boston. Her passion was her dedication to family. Irene enjoyed going to the Roger B. Trask Adult Care Center in Peabody, where she was involved with many activities. She enjoyed Bingo, arts & crafts, and listening to various musicians who entertained there. She especially liked the American Songbook of Jazz, with artists of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Dean Martin and more. She kept busy at home doing word search puzzles and watching soap operas. “Nana Elmo” as she was affectionately called, loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her. She is survived by a daughter and son, Kathleen Milano and her husband Alfred of Litchfield, NH and Scott Kenny of Peabody; three grandchildren, Nicole Milano and her fiancée James Hand, Larissa Baker and her husband Eric, and Ashleigh Gibson and her husband Cody; seven great-grandchildren, Damien Milano, Kaleb Milano, Adrianna Milano, Kylie Baker, Hailey Baker, Eric Baker, Jr., and Kaylee Gibson, and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Richard Wallace and Charlie Wallace. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Tuesday January 29, 2019 for a visitation from 10:30 AM to 12 Noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the Roger B. Trask Adult Care Center, 75 R Central St., Peabody, MA 01960.
