My brother was a significant influence in my life through his passion for music, history, ideas and spirituality. As children he would have an idea, I would execute the plan and Rich would witness the event, usually something we could get in trouble for. He was an accomplished musician, mainly guitar, following our mother's amazing ability playing the piano. He loved history so much he would research details others ignored and find the real reason behind what actually happened. He was extremely disciplined when it came to practicing his guitar, weightlifting, photography and home movies, and collecting his WWII memorabilia. His spirituality was multifaceted in that he had a strong connection with other souls both living and deceased, he had great compassion for his family and would be very attached to his pets. I witnessed all of these things and so much more so I am very grateful that I had a big brother who showed me how important it is to enjoy what you have. He had the ability to tell stories, enjoy his friends and appreciate details many of us forget in our memories. My memory of Duane will be of someone who always enjoyed life and loved his family and friends. Farewell, we will be together again and I'll love you always!
