Obituary of Lucy A (Femina) Caron

Lucia “Lucy” A. (Femina) Caron, 93, of Peabody and formerly of Melbourne Beach, FL, died Wednesday evening at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Alfred J. Caron who passed away in 2008. Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Pellegrino and Giovannina (Renzulli) Femina. She was raised and educated in Milford and graduated in 1943 from Milford High School. She then continued her education at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester where she received her RN degree in 1947. Upon her graduation, she worked at Milford Hospital for several years, then at Cedars of Lebanon in CA and at the former J.B. Thomas Hospital in Peabody. Lucy was a dedicated homemaker who was devoted to the raising of her five children. Lucy was a talented craft-maker who shared her beautiful Christmas Stockings and Tree Skirts with her family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Anthony “A.J.” Caron and his wife Karin of Peabody, Michael Caron and his wife Joanne of Danvers; two daughters, Jean Marie Jordan and her husband Richard of Manchester, NH, and Catherine “Cathy” Millard and her husband Dean of Peabody, one sister-in-law, Sr. Catherine Marie Caron of Waterville, ME, and was Noni to her 11 grandchildren, Tara Comeau and her husband Matthew of Gilford, NH, Christina Caron of TN, Michael Caron of Bedford, NH, Matthew Caron and his wife Lori of Londonderry, NH, Christopher Caron and his wife Kerri of Andover, Danielle Caron of Peabody and Valerie Bemis and her husband Shawn of Brookline, NH, Brian Jordan and his wife Christen of Allenstown, NH, Gina Millard of Manchester, NH, Diana Millard of Raleigh, NC, and Scott Millard of Peabody; her 12 great grandchildren, Jake, Tessa, Alex, and Evan Bemis, Brooklyn, Taylor, Drew, Avan, Chloe, and C.J. Caron, Lucas Jordan, and Sophia Comeau and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert Caron. Lucy’s funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
