Obituary of Marcelo Ivan Villegas

Marcelo Ivan Villegas, 34, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Wednesday at his home. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Ivan Villegas of Peabody and Bonnie (Black) Hart and his Step-Father Richard Hart of Lynn. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. Marcelo loved working with animals since he was younger and has spent the last 10 plus years working as a surgical Vet technician for various veterinarian’s in the greater Boston area. In addition to working with animals, he enjoyed playing soccer and watching his favorite team Real Madrid, as well as attending and watching New England Patriot games. In his spare time, often could be found fishing. Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his older siblings, brother Ivan P. Villegas of Chile and sister Mabelle Villegas of Shrewsbury, his younger siblings, brother Sean Hart of Lynn, and sister Erin Hart of Lynn, and by his maternal grandparents, Muriel and Harold Black of Fremont, NH. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
