Obituary of Hayley M Carey

Hayley M. Carey, 29, of Lynn and formerly of Peabody, died Friday morning at the Carney Hospital in Boston following a short illness. She was the fiancé of Christine Murray of Lynn Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Ellen (Cassidy) Carey of Lynn and William Carey of Cotuit. She was raised and educated in Peabody and has lived in Lynn for the past four years. Hayley was employed with the support staff at Salem Hospital for a few years before her illness. She was an athlete who enjoyed playing all sports including soccer and basketball and excelled in doing Tae Kwon Do and received her Brown Belt at a very young age. She also loved going to the beach, listening to music, but her favorite endeavor was spending time with her family and sharing in all of their activities. Besides her fiancé, Hayley is survived by her mother and best friend Ellen (Cassidy) Carey of Lynn, her father, William Carey and his wife Christine of Cotuit, her brother Devin Carey of Waterford, CT, her aunts and uncles, Cheryl and Darryl Driscoll of Lynn, Glen and Marie Cassidy of Epping, NH, George Cassidy of Salem, Anne Caron of Salem, Debie Carey of Conway, NH, and Susan Longsine of Edison, NE, and by many loving cousins as well. She was predeceased by her grandparents, William and Claire Carey and Robert and Marie Cassidy. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody with a closing prayer at 8:00 PM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. There are no funeral or burial services planned at this time.
