Obituary of Joseph "Joe" A. Cavanaugh

Joseph A. Cavanaugh, 70 PEABODY – Joseph A. Cavanaugh, 70, died on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the Beverly Hospital, following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, Joe was the son of the late Arthur and Kathleen (Conroy) Cavanaugh. He was a lifelong Peabody resident, attending St. John’s Elementary School and graduated from Peabody High School. He volunteered with the United States Naval Reserve, and served two years of duty with the Navy during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Callahan and her husband Bill of Danvers, his brother Paul Cavanaugh and his wife Christine of Maine, and his brother George Cavanaugh of Peabody; his nephews William, Patrick, and Shane; his nieces Heather, Meg, and Keri; his grandnieces and grandnephews Riley, Timothy, Brian, Sean, Ellie, Tommy, William, Mathew, Grace, Colin, and Alissa. A private service was held.
