Obituary of Gregory Byron Haley
Gregory Bryon Haley, 54, of Swampscott, died Friday morning at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a lengthy illness. Born in Beverly, he was the beloved son of Robert and Florence (Spaneas) Haley. He was a lifelong resident of Swampscott and a graduate of North Shore Regional High School, class of 1982. Gregory enjoyed cooking for his family, bowling, and playing board games. He had a great love for music in general, and a special admiration for his favorite artist, Barbra Streisand. However, Gregory’s favorite endeavor was spending time with his family and sharing in all of their activities. Besides his loving parents, Gregory is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Robin and David Macchia of Boston. He was the beloved Godfather and uncle to his nephew and niece, Spencer and Ava Macchia of Boston. Gregory is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. His funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 7 Paleologos St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. If you would like to make a donation, please make it to St. Vasilios Church.
