Obituary of Carl J. Anderson
Carl J. Anderson, 85 PEABODY – Carl J. Anderson, 85, beloved husband of the late Joan (Hulsman) Anderson, died peacefully on Wednesday March 20, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness, while in the comforting presence of his family. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Karl and Louise (Bourgeois) Anderson. He grew up in Lynn and Peabody, and graduated from Peabody Vocational High School, Class of 1950. While in high school, he met his future bride Joan on a hayride in 1946, then married on January 24, 1953 with 63 years of many happy memories until her passing in May 2016. He was a veteran of the Korean War, with service in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Anderson was a Machinist with General Electric in Lynn for 28 years before retiring in 1994. Carl was a member of the Danvers Fish & Game Club, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and camping trips to New Hampshire and Florida. He did enjoy watching old Western T.V. shows. He was most passionate about his family, and cherished gatherings on holidays, special days, or anytime to have family together. He is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Katherine J. and David Blanchette of Whitinsville, and Ann M. and Leonard Blouin of Center Ossipee, NH; his six cherished grandchildren, Amy Wagar and her husband Paul, Mark Blouin, Jason Blanchette, Justin Blanchette and his wife Alisha, Kendra LeFave and Nicole Anderson; his three precious great-grandchildren, Jaxson Morrison, Bentley Morrison, and I’leigh Blouin; his great-great-grandchildren, Bodie Anderson and the late William Tsonis, and several nieces and nephews. He was father of the late Carl J. “Andy” Anderson and brother of the late Victor Anderson. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for his Funeral Service on Monday March 25, 2019 at 10 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 – 5 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
