Obituary of John J Cornell

John J. Cornell, 56, of Peabody, and formerly of Allenstown, NH, died Friday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. He was the companion of Doreen Rinaldi for the past 12 years. Born in Winchester, he was the son of the late William F. and Janet V. (Blackinton) Cornell. He grew up in Wakefield, MA and later moved to Tewksbury and was a graduate of Tewksbury High School. After high school, his family moved to Keene, NH and later he moved to Allenstown, NH before finally living in Peabody for the past 12 years John was a self-employed carpenter who worked throughout the North Shore and New Hampshire for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and loved his cars and motorcycles as well. Besides his long-time companion, he is survived by his siblings, William (Bill), Bradford (Brad),Robert (Bob) and Paul Cornell and Judith (Judy) Champion and by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his services at the end of the visitation. Burial services will be private.
