Obituary of Michael "Mickey" Frasca

Michael D. “Mickey” Frasca, 82, of Danvers and formerly of Peabody, died Friday evening at his home surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy illness. He was the devoted husband of Patricia (Dalton) Frasca, with whom he shared over 63 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Dominic and Mary (Schiappucci) Frasca. He was raised and educated in Lynn, and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. He continued his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Upon marrying his wife Patricia, he moved to Peabody where he lived for 53 years, and has spent the last 10 years living in Danvers. Mickey worked for his family business, Frasca Construction of Lynn for many years, and for P.J. Stella. Before retiring, he worked for the city of Peabody for 10 years as a building inspector. Following his retirement, he worked additional years at The Meadow at Peabody golf course in the pro-shop, a place dear to his heart. Mickey loved playing golf and enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed wintering in Naples, Florida. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter Timaree Normandin and son-in-law, Donald Normandin of Derry, NH, his beloved grandchildren, Lauren and her husband Edward Berkman, Jr. of Salem, MA, and Taylor Houghton of Derry, NH. He is also survived by his son-in-law Guerwood Lewis, Jr. of The Villages, FL, his cat Sasha, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Maureen Lewis, and his siblings, Daniel, Dennis, and Dominic Frasca, Barbara Hopkins, and Joanna Williams. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 PM Noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the MSPCA C/O Nevins Farms, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
