Obituary of Jason B. Cavaco

Jason B. Cavaco, 43, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away April 12, 2019 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI after a lengthy illness. Jason was born in Durban, South Africa, on March 9, 1976, son of Belarmino and Maria Rosa (Braganca) Cavaco. He was raised and educated in Peabody, graduating from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the trumpet in the Portuguese band, playing in the marching band, Jazz Assembly and on the Varsity LaCrosse team at Peabody High. He enjoyed working on fast cars, riding motorcycles, playing golf, and attending sports games, but most of all being around his family and friends. Recently, Jason was currently working as part owner in his family’s pizza shop, showing off his pizza tossing skills and irreplaceable customer service excellence in North Providence, RI. His infectious smile and kind personality will be missed by all who knew him. Besides his parents, he leaves behind his brother, Michael Cavaco, his paternal grandfather, Fransisco Cavaco, his aunt Jackie Galopim, and cousins; Rose, Frank, and Carlos Galopim, and many friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Vanessa Cavaco, who passed away in August 2017. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019, from 10AM – 12:30PM at the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St, (Downtown Location)., Peabody, MA. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12:30PM, following the visitation. She will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Salem.
