Obituary of Luz D Miller

Luz D. Miller, 68, of Newton NH, and formerly of Salem MA, passed away Sunday April 14, 2019 in Texas following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Roberto Miller with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Jenny (Andujar) Maceira and the late Mario Maceira. She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico, later lived in Salem MA and has spent the last 7 years living in Newton, NH. Luz was an accountant who worked for Garelick Farms before she retired a few years ago. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her four sons and one daughter, three daughter's-in-law and one son in-law, Robert and Wendy Miller of Austin, TX, George and Gemma Miller of Salem, MA, John Miller of Lynn, MA, Shirley and Benjamin Thurston of Newton, NH and Christian and Sally Miller of Haverhill, MA. Her sisters; Evelyn Carrion and Margarita Maceira, both of Puerto Rico, and Mari Orsinelli, Esther Maceira, Christy Miller and Enid Maceira, all of CA. Her brothers; Late Mario Maceira of PR, Luis, Rafael, Wilfredo, and Roberto Maceira, all of CA. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Ludelis, Catalina, Robert Jr (Tito), Mikkayla Miller, Franchesca Thurston, Isabella, Isabelle, Christian, Addison, Mila and Mika Miller. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
