Obituary of Leona Farnham
Leona Farnham, 93, of Amesbury and formerly of Peabody, passed away Saturday Morning, at the Maplewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Amebury, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Bertram Farnham. Leona was born on August 2 1925, in Peabody, daughter of the late Elmer and Bertha (Cook) Skinner. She was raised in Peabody and attended Essex Agricultural High School. She later moved to Georgetown and Saugus, where she raised her children. Leona was a homemaker, staying home to care for her children. Later in her life, she enjoyed taking spontaneous trips with her daughter and sisters, to places such as Florida and Myrtle Beach, SC. She was also a very active member and volunteer of the Peabody Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing Bingo, and just being surrounded by good company. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Gary & Mary Ann Farnham of Brentwood, NH, Robert & Joanne Farnham of North Chatham, NH, and Deborah Farnham of Salem, MA; her grandchildren, Sarah, Laurie, Kevin, Douglas, Benjamin, Kathrina and Leah Farnham, a great-grandson, Evan Farnham. She was predeceased by her siblings, George, Frank, Raymond, Irene, Dorothy, Geraldine, Doris, Corrine and Shirley. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2- 4P.M. at the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 4 P.M.
