Obituary of Jennie T Jablonka

Jennie T. Jablonka, 97, of Peabody, died Thursday April 11 at the Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Thaddeus Jablonka. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Mendrala) Dluznieski. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1940. Jennie was a ticketer for Empire clothing wholesale warehouse in Topsfield for over 14 years before retiring in 1990. Jennie was an active member of St. Joseph’s Sodality in Peabody and for over 50 years played Royal Rummy on Tuesday’s with her card group. She also enjoyed knitting and loved watching wrestling and her favorite wrestler was John Cena. Jennie is survived by her three dauhgters, Carol Howcroft of Middleton, Diane and her husband Gary Sonia of Peabody, and Susan Grayton of Salisbury, and is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and by her sister-in-law, Elena (Denning) Dluznieski. She was predeceased by her siblings, Stanley and Max Dluznieski, Flora Tupper, Louise Falkingham, Frances Lehto, and Katherine Wilson. A private Funeral Service was held on Thursday with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Arrangements were made by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody.
