Obituary of Katherine M. Manning

Katherine M (Endslow) Manning, 91, of Peabody, died Tuesday afternoon at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John J Manning, Sr. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Sullivan) Endslow. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1945. She continued her education at Catherine Gibbs and received her associate’s degree in 1947. Katherine was employed for over 20 years as personnel assistant for Sears before she retired. She was a long-time member of the Ladies Sodality as well. Katherine is survived by her two sons, John J. Manning of Lynn and Mark S Manning of Berlin, her daughter, Maureen Dolan of Strafford, NH and by her beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Robert Dolan, Kelly, Stephanie, Patrick, and Matthew Manning, and Nicole, Stephen, and Brian Manning, and also by her great grandchildren, Luke, Finn, Riley, and Ella. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rev. Bard Endslow, MS, and William E. Endslow, Jr, and Betty Ruane. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
