Obituary of Mary E. Cook
Mary E. (Anderson) (Davis) Cook, 74, lost her long battle with Cancer and COPD on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Her Smiles and laughter will be deeply missed as Heaven has opened its gates for a true angel. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Cook who died in 1998. Born in Peabody on November 20, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Miller) Anderson. Her family meant everything to her, their joys, their accomplishments and their laughter is what she lived for. She enjoyed family gatherings big and small and her gift of gab and humor kept everyone on their toes. Her Passing will leave a hole in many hearts, but her love will continue in all who knew her. She worked at Kemper/Arbella Mutual Insurance for 30 years before her retirement in 2007. Her co-workers were more than that, they were her friends and her second family. She would often speak of them and the fun she had and continued to have after retirement as they continued a breakfast and lunch club. Mary leaves behind many loves of her life. Her sons, Patrick Davis and his wife, Kimberly, Brian Davis and his fiancee, Michelle Bragole, and Justin Davis and his wife Pauline. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Jason, Christen, Justin, Krystal, Kaitlyn and Jaimie and further blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Riley, Alaina, Nicholas, Sophia, Haley and Austin; her brother, Thomas Anderson and wife, Carol of New York; her brother-in-law, Daniel Payne; her sister-in-law, Claire Anderson and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She is also predeceased by her loving son, Glenn Davis and close friend, Roland Pelletier, her brothers, Franklin, James and John Anderson, her sisters, Donalda Innis, Constance DeAlmeida, Lavinia Murphy, Genevieve Richards, and Priscilla Payne. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be private held at the convenience of the family.
