Obituary of Nicole G. Hufnagle
Nicole G Hufnagle, 27 years old, of Peabody, MA, went to the Lord on May 21, 2019. She was born on August 2, 1991 in Salem, MA . She was the cherished only daughter of Gary and Janet (Spyropulos) Hufnagle, and the beloved older sister of her three brothers Corey, Colby, and Luke Hufnagle all from Peabody. She is also survived by her heart-broken grandmother, Mary Spyropulos of Peabody, her great aunt Anne Dresios of Lynn, MA, and her loving grandparents John and Loraine Hufnagle of Philadelphia PA. In addition she is survived by many uncles and aunts: John and Chrissy Hufnagle of New Hope, PA, Charles Spyropulos of Saugus, MA, Barbara Lopes of Lynnfield, MA and her mother’s beloved childhood friend, Joanne Tilas of Peabody, MA. Lastly she is survived by her brother Corey’s girlfriend Chelsea Tsaknis, her cousins Jennifer and Christy Bledsoe-Hufnagle, John and Ally Hufnagle, and Jamie and John Zagnauskas and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather Spero Spyropulos. She will be greatly missed by her loving furry friends, her three cats Chleo, Phil, and Lulu, and her puppy Ace. Nicole graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Class of 2009. She also attended The Paul Mitchell School of Beauty in Providence, RI. Nicole was currently employed as a Recovery Specialist at Lahey Behavioral Health in Danvers, MA where she was loved by all the women she was helping. Previously she was employed at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Ma. Nicole will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help others in need and most especially she will be remembered for her gentle heart. She always had great compassion for people with special needs and went out of her way to make their day brighter whenever she could. She loved listening to all kinds of music and experimenting with different make-up styles. She most enjoyed sushi nights with her Uncle Chuck, and laughing with her family and friends. She spent many nights watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with her Yiayia and doing crossword puzzles with her. Nicole was proud of her Greek heritage. She would go each year to the Greek Festival of Saint George’s Orthodox Church in Lynn with her Yia Yia and her uncle. She even studied Greek in school and was quite good at it. Nicole was an active member of the Saint Basil Cursillo Community in Methuen. She served on team and was greatly loved and appreciated in the Cursillo Community. Nicole loved and protected her younger brothers. They were so precious to her and she was so proud of all their accomplishments and achievements. Her greatest joy in life was being their big sister. A wake in honor of her memory will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday May 28, 2019 at the Conway-Cahill Funeral Home, 82 Lynn Street, Peabody MA. Her Christian funeral will take place on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at 11 AM at St John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut Street Peabody MA followed by a burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Peabody. All family and friends are welcome to attend both the wake and the funeral. EVERYONE IS KINDLY ASKED TO GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH WEDNESDAY MORNING.
