Obituary of Alice (Partaledis) Maitillas

Alice (Partaledis) Maitillas, 86, of Essex St., Beverly and formerly of Peabody and Lynn, died Thursday at the Monserrat Nursing & Rehab. Facility, Beverly after a long illness. She was born in Peabody on June 14, 1917, the daughter of the late Michael and Paraskevi (Albanis) Partaledis and was raised here and later resided in Lynn for many years before moving back to Peabody. She had resided in Beverly for the past 4 years. She had been a waitress at the former Hunt’ s Restaurant in Lynn for 20 years. She enjoyed knitting and after moving back to Peabody, she became a volunteer at the Peabody Community Life Center for many years prior to her illness. She is survived by three nephews, George and Charles Partaledis both of Peabody and James Partaledis of Lynnfield. She was the former wife of the late John Maitillas, the mother of the late Carey Maitillas and the sister of the late Ernest, John and Stephen Partaledis and Helen Hiotelis. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Facility followed by Services in St. Vasilios Church at 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Lynn. A Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 11:00 until 12 Noon prior to the Services. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
