Obituary of Antonino Bivona

Antonino Bivona, 84, of Revere, MA, died Thursday evening at the Care One Nursing Center in Peabody, MA. He was the husband of the late Concetta (Bongiovi) Bivona who died in 2004. He was born in Menfi, Sicily on July 12, 1934, the son of the late Antonino and Antonina (Sanzone) Bivona and was raised and resided there before moving to Massachusetts in 1963. He had been a tailor with the Grieco Brothers Clothing Company in Lawrence Ma for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1999. Antonino enjoyed playing cards and meeting his friends gathering in the coffee shops in Everett. He had been a cook with the Italian Army in the fifties. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Beverly Bivona and a grandson, Nicholas Bivona all of Peabody, a brother, Niatzio and a sister Maria both of Sicily and two deceased sisters, Anna and Antonietta of Sicily. A Private service will be held on Tuesday at the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden, MA.
