Obituary of Eileen J (Dullea) Annese

Eileen Joanne (Dullea) Annese, 58, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 28th, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington surrounded by her family. She was the mother of Carl A. Annese, III, and his wife, Jillian. Eileen was born to the late Edward J. Dullea, Jr., and Marie E. (Splaine) Dullea on November 7, 1960, in Salem. A lifelong Peabody resident, Eileen graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School, class of 1978. Eileen worked as a Produce Manager at Stop & Shop for many years until the birth of her son, and later in life returned to work at Shaw’s in Salem. Eileen loved to bowl in the Metro Bowl women’s bowling league. Eileen was wholly devoted to her family and was a tremendous and tireless caregiver for her parents as each of them aged. In addition to raising her son, she helped raise many of her nieces and nephews as “Auntie Een.” Eileen was one of the most genuine and caring people you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, Eileen is survived by her former husband, Carl A. Annese, Jr., of Windham, N.H., and six siblings: Kathleen Walsh and her husband, Thomas, and Maureen McCarthy and her husband, Stephen, of Beverly; Suzanne Tibbetts and her husband, Jeffrey, of Danvers; Edward J.
