Obituary of Peter J. Garzone

Peter J. Garzone, 80, of Peabody died Monday, May 27,2019 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Elaine L. (Frisone) Garzone. He was born in Peabody on January 19, 1939, the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Manigetti) Garzone and had resided in Peabody most of his life. He was a graduate of Peabody vocational high school in 1956 and then entered the US Marine Corps where he served before his discharge in 1960. He had an engineering degree from North Eastern University 1974. Peter was a machinist for 40 years first working at the Wood Electric Corp., Danvers and was a quality control supervisor there. He later worked at Atlantic Projects, and Soni Machine in Danvers before retiring from the Porter Sewing Machine Company in Beverly. He loved doing yard work and keeping fit with running and walking. He loved helping his neighbors and was a very active member of his neighborhood. His pride and joy was taking meticulously care of his lawn. He is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Garzone of Groveland, Dr. Steven and Dr. Tiffany Garzone both of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and William Garzone and his wife Lisa Love of Peabody, his five grandchildren, Cassandra, Joshua, Natalie, Nicholas and Eva Garzone, his two sisters, Nancy Romano of Stoneham and Janet Kosidlak of Williamsburg, VA and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn ST Peabody facility. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
