Obituary of George J Burge

George J. Burge, 62, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, died Sunday June 2 at the Kaplan family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by family, following an extended illness. Born in Boston, he was the son of George R. Burge of Danvers and the late Caroline (McPhee) Burge. He lived in East Boston for 10 years and then moved to Peabody and attended Peabody public schools and the Peabody Vocational High School as well. George enjoyed working anything that had a motor in it. He was a car mechanic for many years at the Shell Station in Salem. He also enjoyed motorcycles and drag racing as well. Besides his loving father, he is survived by his two daughters, Anastasia and Danielle, his brother, Mark M. Burge of Lynn, his sister, Margaret Carlson and her husband John of Danvers, his sister-in-law, Donna Burge of Peabody, his two granddaughters, Jasmine and Ariel and his nephew, Ryan Patrick. He was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Patrick Burge, and his nephew, Christopher Patrick. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody
