Obituary of Marcia (Bateman) LeBlanc
Marcia (Bateman) LeBlanc, 76, of Danvers, formerly of Peabody, passed away Friday afternoon at the NSMC-Salem Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert E. LeBlanc, who passed away in 1990.
Born in Salem, MA, on August 27, 1942, daughter of the late Leslie A. & Janice (Brown) Bateman. She was raised and educated in Peabody.
Marcia worked as a head teller and then for the mortgage department of the George Peabody Co-Operative Bank in Peabody for many years. She then worked as a receptionist at Copyright Clearance Center before retiring.
Marcia was a lover of all animals, especially of birds and cats, to which she cared for many throughout her life, She enjoyed watching old classic movies, listening to music from her favorite artist, Neil Diamond. She was considered a “history buff” and sometimes throwing out the occasional history question to her family and friends. She always made sure she got her daily dose of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Mulligan and her companion Wayne McDonald of Danvers; her grandchildren, Jacquline (Leblanc) Charles, Jessica Ashton, Jacob Ashton, and Sean Mulligan; her great-grandchildren, Lucas Ashton, Sterling Charles, and Aubrey Ashton; her sisters, Leslie Bateman of Peabody, and Janice Hubbard and her husband James of Danvers, and also leaves behind her companion of 26 years, Gene Tremblay. She was predeceased by her daughter, Dawn Marie (LeBlanc)Ashton.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. from 10AM- 12Noon, immediately followed by a graveside service at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
