Obituary of Dorothy Ellen (Quirk) Lyman

Dorothy Ellen (Quirk) Lyman, 53, of Peabody, died Monday at the Union Hospital, Lynn after a long illness. She was the wife of John J. Lyman with whom she shared 32 years of marriage. She was born in Boston on September 27, 1950, the daughter of the late James And Barbara Quirk and was raised in East Boston before moving to Peabody 31 years Ago. She had been employed at the H.P. Hood Milk Co. in Charlestown and later Worked at Mc Donald’ s Restaurant in Danvers. She then worked at the Bel Aire Diner in Peabody and later at the Goodwill Industries in Salem. She enjoyed taking walks and being with her family. Surviving her besides her husband are 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, John D. Lyman of Danvers and Christopher and Laura Lyman of Middleton; 3 grandchildren, Victoria, Samantha and Michael Lyman; her siblings, Ralph, Thomas, James, Rita ,Donna and Nina Quirk, Barbara Zuben, and Diane Donovan. She was the sister of the late Robert Quirk. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility. Visiting hours will be held On Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
