Obituary of Rachel Bella (Sauvageau) Walters
Rachel Bella (Sauvageau) Walters, 85, of Peabody, died early Thursday morning in Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Earl S. Walters.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late THeodule and Filomina (Perron) Sauvageau. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ann Marie Walters of Danvers and Mary Ann and George Taylor of Peabody; a son, Ronald Walters of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two sisters, Bertha Pohju and Lorraine Solodiuk, both of Peabody, she also is survived by 8 grandchildren and 18 great children and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Raymond Walters.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in ST. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 4 until 7 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
