Obituary of Martin Francis Roach
Martin Francis Roach, 87, of Hudson, NH and formally of Lynnfield and Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Freida (Fournier) Roach.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Martin and Margaret (Kirkwood) Roach. He was raised and educated in Peabody, lived in Lynnfield for over 58 years and has resided in Hudson, NH for the past few years.
He was a Veteran of World War II, who served with the United States Army.
Prior to his retirement many years ago, he worked as a Dispenser Operator for the Texaco Oil Corporation in Danvers. He also was a member of the Lynnfield American Legion. He also was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping in New Hampshire.
He is survived by two sons, David Larsen of Freneley, Nevada and Al Marchese of Hudson, NH; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Lawrence Roach.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4 until 7 PM. Burial in St. Patrick’ s Cemetery, Stoneham.
