Obituary of Mabel F. (Neal) Coombs

Mabel F. (Neal) Chiplinski-Coombs 93 years of Peabody, wife of the late Leon W. Coombs, died Tuesday at the Salem Hospital. Mrs. Coombs was born January 1, 1911 in Lynn daughter of the late James and Mary (Durgin) Neal. She was raised in Lynn and attended Lynn Classical High School. She resided in Lynn before moving to Peabody in 1970. Mrs. Coombs was employed for several years at Salem Hospital. She is survived by 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Jeanne Ambrose, Connie Amaral of both of Wildwood FL, Judy and James Bates of Center Strafford NH and Linda and Gary Carter of Grand Prairie TX, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Albert Chiplinski. Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Cahill-Brodeur facility of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 5 - 8 p.m. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
