Obituary of Americo John Bovio
Americo John Max Bovio, 84, of Peabody, died late Tuesday evening at his home following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Jennie (Brolewicz) Bovio, with whom he shared over 60 years of marriage.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Martin and Marguerite (Giolito) Bovio. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody, attended Peabody Public Schools and was graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1937.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as a Forman for Regis and Rex Leather Company in Peabody for over 40 years. He was a member of the Italian American Club in Peabody as well as the ICC Club in Beverly and the Beverly Community Center.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Stephanie Bovio and Michael and Nancy Bovio, all of Danvers; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Ken Leawood of Peabody; a brother, Peter Bovio of Peabody, and a sister, Mary Walker of California, he also is survived by six grandchildren, a great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 4 until 8 PM.
