Obituary of Maria P. (Luis) Dinis

Maria P. (Luis) Dinis 90 years of Peabody, wife of the late Manuel B. Dinis, died Wednesday at the Peabody Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Dinis was born August 6, 1913 in Terceira Azores Portugal daughter of the late Francisco Cardoza and Rosa Pereira (Lima) Luis. She was raised and educated in the Azores. She immigrated to the United States in 1974 making her home in Peabody. Mrs. Dinis was employed for 3 years as a stitcher at Ideal Baby Shoe Company in Danvers. She devoted her life to her family. Mrs. Dinis is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Luciano P. and Maria Dinis, Perfirio and Maria Odete Dinis all of Peabody; a daughter, Maria B. Rita of Peabody; 4 grandchildren, Anna Dinis, Victor Rita, Luciano Dinis and Victor Dinis all of Peabody, 3 great grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher and Emily Rita all of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother-in-law of the late Victor P. Rita. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Conway facility of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody location followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 5 - 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
