Obituary of John F. Silva

John F. Silva 61 years husband of Mary J. (Boudreau) Silva of Peabody died Saturday morning at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Silva was born April 16, 1942 in Salem son of the late Frederick and Frances (Chapman) Silva. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Silva was employed for many years for the City of Peabody as a heavy equipment operator at the Peabody landfill until his retirement in 1995 due to a heart disability. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Andrew J. Silva of Peabody; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Erin F. and Glenn Stokes, Kelly H. Silva all of Peabody, a brother, Martin Skip Silva of Biddeford Maine; 4 grandchildren, Brandie, Jesse, Kyle and Travis Stokes all of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. A funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the12 Chestnut St., Peabody location. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 5 - 8 p.m. A committal of ashes will be held at the family’ s convenience.
