Obituary of Stephanie Marie Schieding
Stephanie Marie Schieding 10 years loving daughter of Paul R. and Annmarie (Hunter) Schieding of Peabody died early Monday morning after a courageous battle with a rare form of childhood kidney cancer. Her family surrounded her.
Stephanie was born in Salem May 7, 1993. She was raised in Peabody and was a 4th grader at the West Memorial School in Peabody.
Stephanie loved to plant flowers with her mother. She also enjoyed golfing, baseball, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling and cheering her brother with his outdoor sports activities. She liked visiting her grandparents in Florida. Following the onset of her illness in 2000 she along with her family attended the Dream Day on Cape Cod camp in Brewster intended to help families forget about the sickness and hardship that they are coping with.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Michael R. Schieding of Peabody; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Marie (Piscitello) Hunter of Gloucester; her paternal grandparents, Richard and Pauline (Prackneck) Schieding of FL; an aunt and 3 uncles, Susan and Michael Zina of Springfield, Roger Schieding of Danvers and Jonathan Hunter of Gloucester; a cousin, Jacqueline Schieding of Danvers, many great aunts and great uncles, many 2nd and 3rd cousins and her classmates.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location followed by a Mass of the Angels at 11 a.m. in St. Adelaide Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8 p.m. Burial in Oak Grove cemetery, Peabody. The family wishes to have memorial contributions made to the Dream Day on Cape Cod, 165 Nan Ke Rafe Path, Brewster MA 02631.
