Obituary of Fontaine (Saxiones) Christy

CLEARWATER Fontaine (Saxiones) Christy, 80, beloved wife of Theodore Christy of Clearwater, died Monday at the Mease Dunedin Hospital in Clearwater following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Canela (Kapelas) Saxiones. She lived there in her youth and attended Peabody schools. Mrs. Christy lived in the Peabody area, Nashua, NH, and New York areas before moving to Clearwater where she lived for the last 13 years. Mrs. Christy was a Co-owner of a Dental Lab. She was active in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody and in her local church in Clearwater, FL. She is survived by: her husband, Theodore Christy of FL; two sons, John Christy of CT and Nicholas Christy of NY, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
