Obituary of Angelina S. (da Silva) Cunha

Angelina S. (da Silva) Cunha, 90, of Peabody, died early Monday evening at the Cedar Glen Nursing home, following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Cesario B. Lima. Born in Praia, Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Helena L. (Sousa) da Silva. She was raised and educated in Portugal and later immigrated to the United States and has been a resident of Peabody for the past 40 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a solderer for RCA electronics in the Boston Area. She later worked in the Laundry Department at Salem Hospital for five years. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joao and Maria Silva and Hamilton and Maria Silva Lima, all of Peabody; four brothers, Antonio Silva of Peabody, Teodozio Silva of Fall River, Cristiano Silva of Rhode Island and Belmiro Silva of Salem; two sisters, Marcelina Sale and Eugenia Lim, both of Peabody; two grandchildren, Hamilton Lima and Anna P. Bruce and a great grandchild, Lydia Gard, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Jose and Manuel Silva. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 5 until 8 PM. Burial on Friday at 9:00 AM in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
