Obituary of Teodelinda Cunha Aguiar
Teodelinda (Melo) (Cunha) Aguiar
PEABODY-- Teodelinda (Melo) (Cunha) Aguiar, 85, loving wife of Manuel Aguiar and the late Joao Cunha, died early Wednesday morning at the Cedar Glen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers following a long illness.
Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, she emigrated to the United States, settling in Peabody where she lived for many years.
Mrs. Aguiar was employed with GTE Sylvania at the Loring Avenue plant in Salem for many years.
She was a communicant at Our Lady of Fatima Church, and enjoyed flowers in her garden and social gatherings with friends and family.
She is survived by: her husband, Manuel Aguiar of Peabody; a step-daughter, Helia Silva of Peabody, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joao Cunha, and a son Manuel Joao Cunha.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 AM from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 PM.
Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
