Obituary of Joao Teodoro Lima

Joao T. Lima, 94, of Tremont St., beloved husband of the late Maria do Livramento Lima, died Monday evening at the Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Luz, Graciosa, Portugal, he was the son of the late Cirino Correia and Maria Luz Bettencourt Lima, he lived in Peabody for the last 10 years. Mr. Lima was a Farmer in Portugal. He is survived by, one son and daughter-in-law, Manuel & Gloria A. Bettencourt of Peabody, a daughter and son-in-law, Maria & Joao Veiga of Providence, RI; three grandchildren, Joao Bettencourt, Fernando & Maria de Lourdes Bettencourt, and Vatalia & Joao Cordeiro; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Marie Bettencourt; a step-brother and sister-in-law, Antonio & Maria Sousa of Azores, Portugal, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 AM from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut ST. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem
