Obituary of Ethel A. (Angelos) Maistrellis

Ehel A. (Angleos) Maistrellis, 88, of Peabody, died early Monday morning at Salem Hospital following a breif illness. She was the wife of the late Atan Maistrellis. Born in Norwich, Ct., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Aretti (Betsos) Angelos. She was raised and educated in Greece and later moved back to Peabody, and has been living here for the past 66 years. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family. She also was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Daughters of Penelope. She enjoyed cooking Greek foods and gardening. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Judy Maistrellis of Annapolis, MD, Peter and Sally Maistrellis of Rockport, and Dimitri and Karen Maistrellis of Andover; 4 grandchildren, Katina, Alexandra, Emily, and Christopher Maistrellis, and also by a cousin, Sophales Carinos of Ipswich. She was the sister of the late Catherine Carinos and Hariglia Hadsava, and grandmother of the late Philip Maistrellis. Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Faciliity, followed by Services in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
