Obituary of Lauretta Janice (Pero) Judge
Lauretta Janice (Pero) Judge, 90 years, wife of the late Harold L. Judge, formerly of Stow, MA died Thursday at the Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Peabody.
Mrs. Judge was born Sept. 5, 1911 in Boston, daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Mulrey) Pero. She was raised and educated in Roxbury graduating from Roxbury Girls High School class of 1928. She had been a resident of Stow, MA since 1955. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Ladies Sodality at St. Isidore Church in Stow, MA.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Carol and Edward Deschenes of Atkinson, NH and Janice "Ginger" and Francis Melly of North Reading; a son and his wife, Gerard "Jerry" and Mary Ann Judge of Elgin, IL; a brother, Ernest Pero of Dorchester; a sister, Ruth Callahan of East Boston; eight grandchildren, Linda Gritter of FL, William Buckley of CA, Paula and Cynthia Deschenes both of MA, Diane Deschenes of AK, Brian Deschenes of TX, Christa Lee Huey and Stephen Judge both of IL; a great grandson, Collin Huey of IL. She was also the mother of the late Joan Buckley and grandmother of the late Edward "Jeff" Deschenes.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St. location, Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Brookside Cemetery, Stow, MA.
